Nancy’s Holiday Picks from Albertine General

We asked Albertine’s photographer, Nancy Bulalacao, for her favorite holiday pieces from Albertine General.  She loves sparkly things and is easily distracted in the store.  It was difficult for her to choose only six pieces.

Madam Fortuna Jewel Green Vintage Glass Bracelet.  The color of the glass is so rich that it feels like if you gaze into it  long enough you might see other-worldly things.  $98

1930′s Heart Locket with Red Stone. $198

Polly Wales 9 kt Circle Disc Rings.  The designer used signet rings as inspiration for the form and added her own modern twist. Available in blue spinnel and pink sapphire. $675 and $855.

Amy’s Holiday Picks from Albertine General

Albertine General’s resident jewelry expert,  Amy Taylor,  gives us her picks for the best holiday pieces.

left: Sterling Silver ‘In Cycles’ by Oblik Atelier, recently distinguished as an up and coming designer by the New York Times.  Her work, like mini sculptures are real works of art. $825

right: Victorian Watch Key Pendant Necklaces from England by Cave Canem.  Ranging from $380-$535.

Oblik Atelier’s Overlap Brass Cuff. The color of this piece is part of what makes it so special.  She stains the metal to look like watercolor.  We think it’s divine and affordable! $175

A mix of Himatsingka’s bangles (sold separately).  These bangles are great separately or worn together. Prices range from $198-$535.  The far right bangle is outlined in 18k gold.

Sterling Silver Marcasite Dome Ring. An eye-catching cocktail ring that we find to be perfect for the holiday season as it reminds us of a glittering crystal snowball.

Another mix of lovely bangles from Iossellani and Himatsingka.  We adore the Sophie Red Scalloped Bangle with Rubies. Prices range from $125-$565.

Golden

Along with fine jewelry, Albertine General carries unique objects that make perfect gifts like these gilded wood wings.
$125 for the set.

Evening Glamour for the Day

Add some punch to basic looks:

Ioselliani fringe necklace with rhinestones – slightly asymetrical – with a skull detail.
Perfect for wearing with a t-shirt and jeans.

Vintage rhinestone pin works great with a blouse or on the lapel of a jacket.

Very cool Black Panther pendant necklace by Corvus Noir adds the perfect touch of edge to a simple outfit that needs a boost.

The Smile

Amy is our go-to gal at Albertine General.  She keeps everything running smoothly and has extensive knowledge of antique jewelry.

Amy’s dress and belt are by Gary Graham.
It looks like she’s wearing three belts but it’s really one!

The necklace is by Plume.
We love the mix of brass and lucite–very versatile,  goes great with everything.

Rings by Cave Canem.
Exquisite stackable Promise Rings, available in other stones like emerald, sapphire, and rubies.  The second ring is a 60′s reproduction in 14kt gold. It’s a great statement piece and is also available in silver.

The clutch is by Moyna

A. Ward

A. Ward’s Crystal ring set in 14k gold.  Catches sunlight spectacularly, known to give off good vibrations. Available at Albertine General.

Cave Canem and Melissa Easton

Cave Canem Early 20th century Bib Necklace   $425
Decorated spheres hang from varying lengths of links.
Would look great with a strapless dress or with a simple white t-shirt.

Melissa Easton 10k Oval and Rectangle Rings   both $690
Handmade.  Initials and engravings upon request.
These rings wear well over time.  Ten karat gold is especially good for combining with silver.  In Victorian times they used 9k gold for most objects, this accounts for the ring’s lovely antique feel.
